Special Board Meeting Town of Montrose Meeting Minutes March 12, 2026 6:00PM Present: Roger Hodel, Town Chairman; Paul Schaller, Town Supervisor; Cory Brown, Town Supervisor; Jennifer Armstrong, Town Clerk/Montrose Residents Attending: Brian Novinska, Tim Schmitt, Deb Brucaya, Jerry Brucaya, Mary DeGroot Non-Residents Attending: Lori McGowan Roger Hodel called the meeting to order at 6:04PM. 1. To discuss and approve the new EMS District Agreement, effective June 30, 2026 to December 31, 2036. Agreement will be in effect June 30, 2026 to December 31, 2026. Discussion on EMS leadership elected positions, voting, and staffing. Paul Schaller moved to accept the Intergovernmental Agreement of the Sugar River Emergency Medical Services District, seconded by Cory Brown, made unanimous by Roger Hodel. 2. Discussion and possible approval of the acoustic panels for the main room of the town hall in the amount of $ 3,131.70 Paul Schaller made a motion to approve the purchase of 12 acoustic panels for the walls and 14 acoustic panels for the ceiling from Acoustimac, cost not to exceed $ 4500, seconded by Cory Brown, approved by Roger Hodel. 3. Discussion and possible approval of the Town of Montrose Open Book and Board of Review dates. Open Book will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd from 9:00 AM to 11:00AM. Board of Review will be held on Thursday, April 30th, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The annual meeting will be held on April 14 at 7:00PM. Light luncheon to follow. The April Board meeting will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at 7:00PM. The Spring General Election will be held on April 7 from 7:00AM to 8:00PM. Lori McGowan brought up implementation of a room tax in the town and there was a general discussion about room tax. She distributed the Annual Report Form that New Glarus uses as a model. Lori McGowan said she will put together a plan and present it to the board at the April 2, 2026 Town Board meeting. Tim Schmitt suggested we put a moratorium on approving any zoning or CUP changes in Paoli at this time. Meeting was adjourned at 7:08PM. Respectfully Submitted, Jennifer Armstrong, Clerk
