Town Board Meeting – Budget Work Session — Minutes

Town of Oregon Town Board Meeting Minutes Wednesday, October 8, 2025 1. Call Town Board Meeting to order Town Board Chair Carl Walser called the meeting to order at 1:10pm on Wednesday October 8, 2025. 2. Roll Call Clerk Hanson called roll. Present: Carl Walser, Laurie Fitzgerald, Arlan Kay, Steve Jernegan and Tim LeBrun. Also Present: Clerk Jennifer Hanson and Treasurer Stephanie Goth. 3. Preparation of 2026 Town Budget The board discussed portable offices for TORC and public works, possible financing options, reviewed current year 2025 budget revenues and expenses and looked at future year 2026 budget revenues and expenses. The board will finalize amount to finance at a later board meeting. 4. Discussion and possible action re: employee handbook, job descriptions, and town ordinances The budget includes 3% increase in salaries based on CPI with room for additional if needed. The board will review compensation options in employee handbook. The job descriptions will be updated to include administrator position to start in 2026. 5.
