Discussion and possible action regarding preliminary approval of Certified Survey Maps. Chair Green asked the Town Attorney for his opinion regarding this issue. The problem is the Preliminary Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) have been acted upon with recommended changes, by the Plan Commission and Town Board, and sometimes the Final CSM comes back to the Plan Commission and Town Board for approval and it is beyond the 90-day State Statutes limitation, and towns ordinance, chapter 190. This means that according to the State Statutes and the towns ordinance, the Preliminary CSM by default, is approved due to being beyond the 90-day limitation. A discussion followed regarding the Preliminary CSM and Final CSM and the towns past procedures. He is suggesting in the future not to approve the Preliminary CSM, if it is not ready, it is tabled and not approved. The Final CSM will be approved. He said the towns ordinance, chapter 190, according to the Town Attorney, will need revisions. He would like the Board to authorize the Town Attorney to revise chapter 190 of the town’s ordinances. It should be revised to have two parts, one for sub-divisions and one for splits. He stated the Plan Commission is advisory to the Town Board, he said this needs to be made clear. He said the process should be the application comes to the Plan Commission, a map is su bmitted, the Plan Commission can review the map, but it won’t be approved, it would be tabled. The Final Map, or CSM, should not come to the Town Board until ready to be approved. The Board directed Chair Green to contact the Town’s Attorney for review/revisions of chapter 190 of the town’s ordinances. Discussion and possible action regarding the approval of Resolution R-2026-02: Designation of Town Depositories. Motion by Supervisor Miller, second by Sup. Gouaux, to approve Resolution R-2026-02.
