PC Chairman’s report for BoS 2-2-2026 meeting I had about 19 hours on Plan Commission tasks in January, including: I had several phone conversations with Jesse about Steve Albers and Verizon CUP application. I had several phone conversations with ZA Joe about the required UDC updates. As requested by Jesse at the last BoS meeting, I reviewed the ToL ordinances on the website for what ordinances could be incorporated into our ZO. More to follow… I worked with Mary Ann to delete outdated ordinances and resolutions and add new and improved ordinances to the ToL website. We still have some work to do on this. I attended the snowplowing meeting with the BoS and Ron McClure. I researched and edited the UDC ordinance and drafted the 2026-1 UDC ordinance for the PC to review and pick apart. The draft 1st went to ZA Joe to review. I discussed a possible CUP request from City Switch for a tower on Dantoin’s farm later this spring with ZA Joe. I drafted a CUP for Mark Knapek @ American Tower / Verizon wireless for the upcoming CUP hearing. We had one PC meeting on January 28th, which included: A CUP hearing for modifications to American Tower / Verizon Wireless’ tower and equipment at 3228 Hawk Rd. The BoS held a special meeting to approve the CUP as well during the PC meeting, and ZA Joe issued their building permit. We reviewed and seriously amended the draft UDC ordinance based on Jesse’s input—this is up for approval by the BoS at tonight’s meeting. The PC reviewed Jesse’s snowplowing letter and affirmed the idea of posting the letter on the ToL’s website for now. The PC decided to table indefinitely the Records Retention ord and Policy table. The PC reviewed the ordinances on the website doc that I presented. Next task is to contact Brandon Robinson at BLRPC and find out what’s involved in modifying our ZO w/o having to run it past DATCP for review and approval. I’ve reached out to BR—An appointment was arranged for Feb 4 or 5--to be continued… Job descriptions: Jesse is lukewarm about pursuing this. MS want to do these for continuity. Unless directed otherwise, I’m reluctantly dropping this idea. Jesse reported that Steve Albers has cancer. It was agreed that we should drop the issue of containers and rezoning with Steve—for now at least. Jesse updated the PC on the Town of Michicot’s meeting about a request to site and build a data center. They have no relevant zoning and comp planning. We have no PC meeting scheduled for February at this time. Mick Sagrillo, Plan Commission chair
