PC Chairman’s report for BoS 8-4-2025 meeting I had about 11.25 hours on Plan Commission tasks in July and in the beginning of August. Jesse and I met with JJ Pagel and Susan Lacrosse prior to their July CUP hearing to discuss lighting on their calf barns. The jury is still out on how they “corrected” the lighting by aiming it downwards. We had one PC meeting in early July to accommodate a request from Dairy Dreams to expedite their feed center construction. I contacted Esther Rodrigues about any interest in serving on the PC. She didn’t have time to talk and has not gotten back to me. I contacted MGE about payment for the wind turbines. Dan Clausen responded and said that they would take care of it. At Jesse’s request, I research and drafted a 1-pager on culverts and driveways. This is up for discussion at the August PC meeting. I reviewed the draft LWCD draft Shoreland Preservation Ordinance for any impact on ToL to determine whether I should attend the public hearing/meeting on the draft ordinance. The proposed changes are minimal and will likely not impact ToL other than the fact that the ordinance defines what a “duplex” is. I engaged in several phone calls with ZA Joe on possible upcoming re-zonings. After meeting with Mary Ann Salmon, ZA Joe and I met with Mary Ann and Rick Salmon to discuss their upcoming rezoning requests. Jesse and I discussed KFI’s question about directional signs at their farm. We resolved that this needs to be addressed in the Sign Ordinance at a future PC meeting. We have one PC meeting scheduled for August 27th. The agenda includes: Mary Ann and Rick Salmon’s rezoning; Kim Malcore’s rezoning; A public hearing on Ordinance 2025-2 on Storage Buildings, Warehouses, and Workshops; Discuss changing the Sign Ordinance to include Directional Signs in all zoning districts; and Driveways & Culverts 1-pager. Work the PC needs to do yet includes: The Records Retention Ordinance; Job descriptions for town officials and appointees; Resolve Steve Albers multiple shipping containers and rezoning issues. Mick Sagrillo, Plan Commission chair
