PC Chairman’s report for BoS 5-5-2025 meeting
I had about 12.75 hours on Plan Commission tasks in April.
Administrative time included catching up with Chairman Jesse and ZO Joe, and answering questions.
One issue that came up had to do with property survey discrepancies for the J Peters, Jodi Parins, and Lynda Lambert properties and whether the town should get involved with these land owners.
I had communications with Lee Kinnard and Amanda Heiges about their CUP for their equipment storage building request, and Lynda Cochart about the upcoming KFI CUP
for the tiling to alleviate flooding to her fields.
I researched a number of ordinances for how they dealt with buried pipelines and fiber optics in their right of ways for the PC meeting.
We had a PC meeting on April 30th. At that meeting:
We delayed the KFI CUP for tiling under Spruce Road and Robin Lane because I forgot to post the Class 2 notice. That notice is now posted for a May 28 PC hearing
We held a CUP hearing for KFI’s request to construct an 80’ x 230’ machinery storage building at E2789 County Rd. S. The BoS has that CUP to approve at this evening’s meeting.
We discussed how to classify the 3.22 acre parcel on Hawk Road that RAC are exercising their right of 1st refusal to purchase. The PC and BoS are ok with RAC’s purchase and use of this parcel.
NOTE: the ZA needs to be appointed to take minutes at PC meetings.
We reviewed four different approaches to regulating and permitting buried pipelines and fiber optics in the town’s RoWs. It was decided to go with a two page ordinance and a fill-in-the blank check list version.
There were no rezoning requests in April.
We have a PC meeting scheduled for May 28th. On the agenda for that meeting so far is:
The conversion of the DD to a CUP for KFI to bore under Spruce Road and Robin to run tile lines to alleviate flooding in surrounding fields.
Review a draft ordinance regulating buried pipelines and fiber optics in the town’s RoWs.
Work on the Records Retention Ordinance for town documents was tables.
Any update on the derelict building at E4500 Cty K?
