In 1998, the City purchased an Avigation Easement from you for a portion of the airspace over your property. I have attached a copy of the Avigation Easement. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Aeronautics (BOA) recently completed an inspection of Menomonie Municipal Airport. BOA indicated that a tree located in the northwest corner of your property encroaches into the Avigation Easement airspace. I have attached a copy of the exhibit, provided by BOA, showing the encroaching tree. Pursuant to the Avigation Easement, I am informing you of the City’s intent to remove the tree located in the northwest corner of your property sometime after November 1, 2026. If you object to this action, please provide me with proof that the tree does not encroach into the Avigation Easement airspace prior to October 31, 2026. if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 715.232.2221 extension 1020 or dschofield@menomonie-wi.gov Respectfully Submitted, CITY OF MENOMONIE David Schofield Director of Public Works This map was created by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Aeronautics.
