Village of Fall Creek Minutes of Parks & Recreational Committee Meeting October 22, 2019 1. Call to Order: 5:00 p.m., Village Hall Meeting Room, 122 E. Lincoln Ave., Fall Creek 2. Roll Call: Members Present: Chairman Matt Mattoon, Trustee Bob Jenkins. Arriving Later: Trustee Joyce Aldrich. Member Absent: None. Also Present: Brad Ceranski. 3. Certify Open Meeting Law Requirements Have Been Met 4. Adopt Agenda Bob/Matt 5. Consider Summer Rec Program: Brad Ceranski asked the Committee to consider turning the summer rec program over to the Fall Creek Youth Sports Association. For the last two years the Association and the Village have been working together-separately. The Village records the registrations and payment to umpires, and the Association manages the other aspects of the program. The Association handles the other sports programs for the school and has the capability to manage registrations and umpire renumeration. Games will continue to be played at Keller Park, so the Lions Club can offer concessions to spectators. A schedule of games would be given to the Public Works Department so they can continue to drag the field before games. He also asked if the equipment could be donated to the program. ▪ MOTION (Jenkins/Mattoon) to recommend transferring the management of the Summer Rec Program to the Fall Creek Youth Sports Association. The existing baseball and softball equipment will be donated to the Association as well. The Clerk-Treasurer will investigate any insurance issues that may affect the transfer of management of the program. PASSED, without negative vote. 6. Consider Lighting at Horseshoe Pit: Committee discussed proper lighting requirements to light the area appropriately, as well as prices for lights and installation.
