Village of Fall Creek Minutes of Community & Economic Development Committee Meeting October 1, 2020 1. Call to Order: 6:00 p.m., Keller Park, 535 N State St, Fall Creek, WI 2. Roll Call: Members Present: Chairman Karen Strasburg, Sheena Kaatz. Members Absent: Kelli Corbin. Also Present: 1 citizen. 3. Certify Open Meeting Law Requirements Have Been Met: A notice of the meeting and an agenda was posted in the three public places and newspapers were notified. 4. Adopt Agenda:  MOTION (Kaatz/Strasburg) to adopt the agenda as printed. PASSED, without negative vote. 5. Discuss Captial Projects for Spending Amandus E. Ziemann & Robert D. Ziemann Bequeath Money: Committee discussed the possibility of using bequeathed funds to update the rarely used tennis courts to pickleball courts. Pickleball is a very popular sport enjoyed by people of all ages. The basic court is already there with plenty of space for either 2 pickleball and 2 tennis courts or 4 pickleball courts. The existing lighting would encourage evening play. The physical education department at school could use it for part of their curriculum, and a small pickleball tournament could be part of Fun Fest. Grants may be available. This was a first meeting, with more discussion to follow at future meetings. 6. Adjourn:  MOTION (Kaatz/Strasburg) @ 6:50 p.m. PASSED, without negative vote.
