DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. BRIDGE PROJECT ON 140TH: John Beckfield of CBS Squared, Inc. attended. Went over timeline;
tall poles – bridge will be 2 feet higher due to flood zone; 1) Geotechnical ordered to see how far bore
goes – contract to remove material or blast? Foundation type. Seymour can provide temporary traffic
control which would save $1800. 2) Bid process March/April. John pull everything together and
provide a revised plan. 3) Obtain land, work with Laura – follow eminent domain if needed, and start
by June at the latest.
B. ZONING UPDATE: Rod Eslinger and Ben Bublitz attended. Discussed changes. Towns need to adopt
within one year, which would be 7/18/2024, file approval with County Clerk and their office.
1. Zoning is not customized. Have discussion and propose code change (Towns) if something is
identified, 5 towns have accepted the new code.
2. Conditional Use Permit (CUP) required with Town objections. Rezoning: not on County
schedule until brought before Seymour Board, Substation – Rod to get back to Chair Janssen
(Utilities don’t have to rezone).
3. Updates to special events could affect Fever Fest and Nashville North. One-time event requires
conditional contract, four events per year would require CUP. Nashville North should come
before the Seymour Board in January or February.
4. Bigger changes with AC-R zoning, Planned Unit Development (PUD), larger accessory
structurer, access dwelling units.
5. Solar – PSC standards being followed
6. Complaints – can forward to Zoning (Ben and Hannah)
7. Road setbacks to align with DOT
