TOWN OF SEYMOUR BOARD MEETING Vol. 36 Page 15 A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held Monday, July 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. Notice was posted at the Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- and at www.townofseymour.org under “Agendas”. Board members present were Chair Jessica Janssen, Supervisor Kerry Parker, and Supervisor Ken Schick. Also present were Clerk/Treasurer Amy Wagener, Roads Supervisor John Oxley, and one Town resident. Chair Janssen called the meeting to order at 7:01PM. MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion from Chair Janssen, seconded by Supervisor Schick, to approve the 06/28/23 minutes as presented. Motion carried. GENERAL COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC: • None FINANCIAL REPORT: The June 30 financial statements were presented by Clerk/Treasurer Wagener and are attached hereto. ROADS & BUILDINGS SUPERVISOR REPORT: Roads & Buildings Supervisor John Oxley presented current information regarding the Roads & Buildings Department. The Class B road sign is up on Black Avenue. Notifications have been posted as well. Mowing, Base Course, and Culvert work are ongoing. Pulverizing is scheduled to start on July 11 on 75th. Marcott Ct is next. Some signs have been stolen or damaged. We will need to replace them. John has obtained a quote for additional signage for the Town Hall Office / Ball Fields / Park. DISCUSSION ITEMS Picnic – Various contact responsibilities split between Board and Staff at last meeting are progressing. Installation of Class B Road Signs – Basic signs are up. Additional signage still to be received. ACTION ITEMS o See-More ATV Club ATV Route Designation Application : Discussion included resident concern about an item on the application, but it was noted that the application was filled out with Highway Department assistance, and the application is contingent upon Highway Department review and approval. Motion by Chair Janssen and seconded by Supervisor Parker, to approve and sign application regarding ATV use on County QQ from County QS to County Q. Motion carried. Clerk / Treasurer Wagener will mail the signed application to John Johnson at the County Highway Department. BOARD MEMBERS COMMUNICATIONS We have two dog complaints to follow up on. Chair Janssen does not have time to follow up so this has been assigned to Clerk/Treasurer Wagener. We also have a third dog-related issue which C/T Wagener will follow up on as well. Roads Supervisor Oxley will follow up on the situation we had on Russell Court. The next Board Meeting will be rescheduled from the usual date of August 14, as there are Board Member conflicts. It will be either August 7 or August 21, to be determined after calendars are checked. SIGN CHECKS AND FORMS. o Checks : Chair Janssen signed A/P checks.
