PARK COMMISSION MINUTES December 6, 2023 Meeting called to order 9:35am Commission members in attendance: Fred Belay, Jennifer Meyer, Kathy Alf, Tom Roach, Barb Kleist and Dean Kallenbach Adopt Agenda; motion made by Fred/sec Kathy and passed Approval of November 1 minutes; motion made by Jennifer/sec Barb and passed Financial Report Total expenses paid in November $ 6,154.96 Total YTD $ 20,106.23 Balance in Nicolet Park Checking $ 1,321.93 per Town of Union Treasurer October Report Approval of payments for the following: --November Work Log- Tom Roach 2 hours @ $15 per hour, total due $30 clearing trees - Conservancy -Tony Bischel 2 hours @ $15 per hour, total due $30 clearing trees – Conservancy --Town of Union Fire Department $ 1,170 raising tower, prep work and cement Motion to approve financial report and expenses to be paid made by Jennifer/sec Barb and passed Motion to approve in kind donation to Landmark Conservancy of $ 500; gratitude for ongoing partnership made by Fred/sec Tom and passed Parks Discussion Sherman Creek-Request by Snapshot Wisconsin to place Trail Camera in Sherman Creek Park was discussed. Our contact is volunteer, Erik Anderson. A motion to approve Erik Anderson to work with Snapshot Wisconsin to place equipment and collect images at Sherman Creek Park made by Jennifer/sec Barb and passed A donation to the Town of Union Park Commission was received from Josh Witucki in the amount of $ 760 to be targeted toward Sherman Creek Park The 2024 Park Commission Budget of $ 49,000 was approved as proposed New Business A brainstorming session for future projects to improve and grow the Parks was continued from last month.
