PARK COMMISSION MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING August 7, 2023 Meeting called to order 9:32am Commission members in attendance: Fred Belay, Jennifer Meyer, Kathy Alf, Tom Roach, Barb Kleist, Dean Kallenbach and Tony Bischel Adopt Agenda; motion made by Kathy/ sec Jennifer and passed Parks Maintenance The final draft on the Pavilion Structural Upgrade Proposal from Cedar Corp that was to have been received before today’s meeting has not been received. A call was made to Dennis Mack and a voice mail was left. A motion to approve the concept of the update, including the changes requested at August 2 Park Commission meeting was made by Fred/ sec Dean and opened to discussion. After discussion the motion was withdrawn by Fred/ sec Dean. The approval of the Pavilion Structural Upgrade proposal final draft was tabled. Budget The possibility of a Handicap Accessible Trail Development in the 2024 budget and grant opportunities for it was discussed. Dean reached out to Landmark for their input on the potential project but has not heard back. 2024 Budget Planning rough draft was developed including the following categories: administration, maintenance, utilities and professional services.
