Minutes of Previous Meeting — August 11, 2026 Minutes were accepted as presented. Public Comment Business 1. Financial Report for July 2026 Finance Director Dustin Hawkins discussed the financial report for July 2026. 2. Initial Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of $20,000,000 General Obligation Promisorry Notes Ehlers Public Finance Advisor Sean Lentz discussed the initial resolution authorizing the issuance of $20,000,000 general obligation promissory notes. Motion: Motion to recommend the initial resolution authorizing the issuance of $20,000,000 general obligation promissory notes. Consideration of 2027 Requested Budget County Administrator Ken Witt discussed the 2027 requested budget. The Administration Committee provided feedback to Administrator Witt to make the final budget cuts and to get a balanced budget for the Committee of the Whole in October. 5. Report on New Positions To Be Included in 2027 Budget County Administrator Witt discussed the report on new positions to be included in 2027 budget. The Administration Committee asked questions and provided positive feedback. 6. Report on Communication Plan for Major Capital Improvement Projects Public Information Officer Adam Kastonek discussed the report on the Communication Plan for major Capital Improvement Projects. The Administration Committee showed support in forming a subcommittee to further review the Jail Expansion Project. Information presented through that process will help inform project communications over time. Request for Future Agenda Items Announcements County Administrator Witt reminded the Administration Committee about the WCA Conference on September 20, 2026. Date of Next Meeting 1.
