Finance & Personnel Committee Page 1 CITY OF GILLETT FINANCE & PERSONNEL Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2018 – IMMEDIATELY FOLLOIWNG UTILITY COMMITTEE MINUTES Chairperson Mohr called the meeting to order at 6:21 PM. Roll Call This public meeting is in compliance with all Open Meeting Laws. Present: Mayor James Beaton, Alderpersons Nanette Mohr, Irene Drake, Sandra Hubbard, Josh McCarthy, Marie Blaser, Matthew Stroik, and Clerk Treasurer Kim Gruetzmacher PUBLIC INPUT: Chairperson Mohr reported she read an article in The Municipality magazine regarding the Dark Stores and Loopholes that are occurring. There is a short video to watch regarding this that the committee will watch at their next finance meeting. 1. Discussion and possible action on minutes from October 8, 2018 MOTION: McCarthy/Blaser Motion to approve the minutes from October 8, 2018. Voice Vote: All Ayes MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and possible action on 2019 Budget – no action taken The committee discussed line items within the budget. It was discussed to honor the raises that were discussed with specific employees last year and give everyone else some type of increase. Discussion was suggested on police coverage and potential reduction in hours to be followed up with police chief. There was also discussion on health insurance cost. 3. Set Next Meeting Date – Tuesday, November 13, 2018 immediately following Joint Review Board 4. Adjournment at 7:34 pm MOTION: McCarthy/Blaser Motion to adjourn.
