CITY OF GILLETT FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2024 AT 4:30 PM MINUTES Committee may deviate from the agenda as needed Alderperson Mohr called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Nanette Mohr and Ashley VanStraten Irene Drake, Jerry Luther, and David Bunker, Mayor Jon Blaskowski, and Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson. Public Works Department Head Nate Anderson, Police Chief Shane Breitenbach, Fire Chief Kurt Hicks, Assistant Chief Tim Via, and Librarian Shannon Stoner. Sandra Hubbard is excused Open Meeting Law has been complied with. Public Input –None AGENDA ITEMS 1. Discussion and possible action on minutes from September 5, 2024 MOTION: VanStraten/Mohr Motion to approve the minutes from September 5, 2024 Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Committee may go into closed session to discuss matters of employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of public employees pursuant to 19.85 (1c) Wis. Stats. MOTION: VanStraten/Mohr Motion to go into Closed Session at 4:31 pm to include council members, mayor, employees, and clerk. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3. Committee will return to open session and may take action on matters discussed in closed session. MOTION: VanStraten/Mohr Motion to return to Open Session at 4:46 pm. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 4. Discussion and possible action on Budget- discussed all departments’ budgets. Need to get revenues and update bank reconciliations then balance the budget. 5. Set Next Meeting Date- October 3, 2024 at 5:30 pm 6. Adjournment at 7:10 PM.
