He mentioned that T& M member Deanna Smith was going to look into it. Alderperson Mohr said Deanna Smith had surgery and this is reasoning this information for quotes isn’t done. T&M member Keri Hicks said maybe someone else needs to look into it. The sign with business advertising isn’t readable and they pay for advertising. She has been contacted about the signs poor condition feels it needs to be done. Alderperson Mohr mentioned the women who made the sign in the park for playground donations could possibly do it? Someone would need to see if she does vinyl signs. Mayor Blaskowski mentioned dot.com branding in Shawano does a good job and is reasonable. We had our Veteran banners made there. Mayor Blaskowski said there is $2000.00 that needed to be transferred from CDA to cover the sign since the Community Development Authority was dissolved. The budget amount was discussed during the meeting with the mayor letting everyone know there is $9000.00 in the budget. T&M Keri Hicks said she would reach out to the person who made the park playground donation sign and dot.com in Shawano. T&M Chris Byars said he would investigate options also. 3. Discussion and Possible action on light poles and banners T&M member Keri Hicks said City Clerk Chelsea Anderson contacted We energies and we can have Eight of the main poles along the park and N. McKenzie Ave. to put banners on. Keri Hicks said she asked the clerk to check with other cities and see how they get to use poles for banners. Some of them own their poles. There is no charge to use the poles, just the cost of kits for the banners. There would be cost if we damage the poles. Keri Hicks said it would be nice to have welcome to Gillett with our logo. The City Clerk priced out more pole mounting kits, they would be $106.87. We do have three already on hand. The mayor said we won’t be able to do anything until the construction is done. The mayor said he doesn’t want to purchase the mounts and then they may not fit. The new poles will be LED.T&M Keri Hicks said it’s a step in the right direction and good information to have from We Energies. The monies from these events are going out not coming if. The cost of the rental fee can take away from that and things they can do. He said he spoke with Katie Daul Chamber of Commerce member. She told him Oconto Falls does not charge park rental on not-for-profit events if it is open to the community. Mayor Blaskowski would like to see more events in Zippel Park, especially with our new playground we are going to get in. He doesn’t want to go to school because the events are free. They are having events that could be at Zippel Park. The school and Zippel Park are cornerstones of the community. We want to show off both, but we don’t want people not to use Zippel Park. It has everything to offer there. National Night Out was nice but if it was at Zippel Park we could have the helicopter again.
