Approved- MEETING MINUTES Little Suamico Code of Ordinance Committee Meeting Little Suamico Town Hall, 5964-A County Road S, Sobieski, WI 54171 Tuesday June 17, 2025, 6:00 P.M. www.townoflittlesuamico.com Committee Members Present: Dave Daniels, John Kwiatkowski, Ed Galkowski, Branden Ness Kory Rentmeester Committee Members Absent: John Link, Ron Bertrand, Paula Leier-Engelhardt (alternate) Others Present: Beth Trudell CALL MEETING TO ORDER - Pledge of Allegiance, then meeting was called to order at 6:01 pm by Vice-Chairman Daniels at the Town Hall. The Committee meeting agenda notice was properly posted APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Ed Galkowski motioned to accept the agenda and John Kwiatkowski seconds the motion. Passed unanimous vote. APPROVAL OF MINUTE(S) - Minutes of last meeting were read and John Kwiatkowski motioned to accept and Ed Galkowski seconds the motion. Passed unanimous vote. CORRESPONDENCE – No comments have been received via e-mail from reviewers. BUSINESS – 1. Appointment of Temporary Secretary- Ed made motion to appoint Branden as temporary secretary, seconded by Kory. 2. List of Complaints • Update from Town Board meeting- None • Spreadsheet from Oconto County Sheriff's deputy- None 3. Discussion of Ordinances by Committee Members Chapter 9 – Fire Regulation and Prevention- Fire prevention bring Chief Zuge in for discussion on next meeting. 9.02 make a penalty for "Lack of Common Sense" law 9.06 chapter requires Clarity of definition of "Enclosed Burner" Adopting Wisconsin State Statute 941 as a whole instead of partials. 9.15 open burning referring to Oconto County for the definition of a "cooking or warming" fire to exempt for burning permit Highlighted additional part of Chapter 9 for review. Discussed emailing Chapter 9 to Chief Zuge and the building inspector to ask their input on Chapter 9. - Kory to follow up with this Chapter 10 – Recycling - We will have Tracy Krumrei to review the recycling portion of chapter 10 Chapter 11 – Non-metallic Mining - Recommend removal of entire chapter because covered by state and federal laws 4. Open discussion among Committee Members Discussed Chapter 3 removal of items by Town Board as previously noted. There will have to be follow up w/Town Attorney in regards to how items from Chapter 3 are removed 5. Set Next Meeting Date- July 15th at 6pm 6.
