CITY OF MARINETTE BOARD OF HARBOR COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES FROM FEBRUARY 13 , 202 5 Keith West, City of Marinette Board of Harbor Commission Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:0 3 PM in the Common Council Chambers at Marinette City Hall, 1905 Hall Avenue. 1. Upon a call of the roll it was determined a quorum of the Commission membership was present and the following attendance was recorded: COMMISIONERS PRESENT: Chairman Keith West, Alderman Tom Karban and Todd Christian . COMMISIONERS ABSENT: Bob Juul OTHERS PRESENT : Trygve Rhude 2. Approval of minutes – January 9 , 202 5 . Ald . Karban moved/ Comm. Christian seconde d and all concurred to approve 0 1 / 09 /202 5 regular meeting minutes. 3. Harbor Commission Plan . Commissioners discussed harbor maintenance and wildlife reporting for the Menekaunee Harbor area. The group would like to become the first stop in the process for harbor concerns prior to Common Council with the main concern focusing on the South Wall. Chmn West discussed expanding a spreadsheet for Menekaunee Harbor, documenting hazards and corrective maintenance. Discussion on wildlife monitoring and reporting with a QR code for additional reference s on local wildlife and habitat structures. Ald. Karban and Trygve Rhude to see about a tagging and numbering system for each habitat structure. No action was taken on this agenda item. 6 . Topics for next meeting. Harbor & wildlife monitoring & reporting and discuss a clean-up day for Spring . Review Statutes relating to Harbor Commission. Next meeting will be scheduled at a later date. 7. Adjourn. Ald .
