CITY OF MARINETTE BOARD OF HARBOR COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES FROM JANUARY 9 , 202 5 Keith West, City of Marinette Board of Harbor Commission Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM in the Conference Room 214 at Marinette City Hall, 1905 Hall Avenue. 1. Upon a call of the roll it was determined a quorum of the Commission membership was present and the following attendance was recorded: COMMISIONERS PRESENT: Bob Juul , Todd Christian , Tom Karban and Keith West. COMMISIONERS ABSENT: Ross Wolfe (resigned) OTHERS PRESENT: Trygve Rhude , Alderperson Mikutowski 2. Approval of minutes – October 17 , 2024 . Tom Karban moved/Keith West seconde d and all concurred to approve 10 / 17 /2024 regular meeting minutes. 3. Three-year plan . Commissioners discussed developing a guidance document defining the vision and purpose of this commission and include items that can be a focus going forward such as; Menekaunee Harbor, other areas along the river between the interstate bridge and mouth of the river, Marinette Marine dredging, restoration Red Arrow, erosion old logging commercial dock. No action was taken on this agenda item. 4 . Bird walk combined with nesting struct ure inspection/clean-up . The committee discussed tak ing inventory of the wildlife in the spring during clean-up . The committee discussed keeping the bird walk and inspection and clean-up events separate . No action was taken on this agenda item. 5 . LMRAOC habitat structure. A google doc will be created so all members can update the maintenance and notes on the list of habitat structures. N o action was taken on this agenda item. 6 . Topics for next meeting. Review statutes relating to Harbor Commission . Next meeting tentatively scheduled for February 13, 2025 at 4:00 pm. 7. Adjourn.
