MINUTES LICENSE & POLICE WEDNESDAY – MAY 13, 2026 – 4:30 P.M. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, MUNICIPAL BUILDING Members present: Chair Robert Warren and Tony O’Neill. Member excused: Joel Ahrens Others Attending: Mayor Katie Berman, Clerk-Treasurer Tammy Kasal, Interim Police Chief Derek Koronkiewicz, and Attorney David Spangenberg. Chair Warren called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill to approve the agenda. Motion carried 2/0. Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill to approve the March 18 & April 2, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried 2/0. Updated Application for Operator’s License: An updated Operator’s License Application was reviewed and discussed. Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill recommending Council approve the updated Operator’s License Application. Motion carried 2/0. “Class B” Fermented Malt Beverage & Intoxicating Liquor Licenses: Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill recommending Council approve the “Class B” Fermented Malt Beverage & Intoxicating Liquor Licenses as presented (see attached) pending background checks. Motion carried 2/0 “Class A” Fermented Malt Beverage & Intoxicating Liquor Licenses: Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill recommending Council approve the “Class A” Fermented Malt Beverage & Intoxicating Liquor Licenses as presented (see attached) pending background checks. Motion carried 2/0. Temporary Class “B” Beer License for Peshtigo Youth Baseball, Inc.: Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill recommending Council approve a Temporary Class “B” Beer License for Peshtigo Youth Baseball, Inc. for the Christopher Mylener Memorial Tournament, June 5–7, 2026, at Pine View Baseball Park, Fields 1 &2. Motion carried 2/0. Municipal court cost fee increase pursuant to 2025 Wisconsin Act 113: Judge Sutek’s request to increase the court cost fee from $38 to $48 was reviewed. Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill recommending Council approve increasing the court cost fee from $38 to $48. Motion carried 2/0. Police Chief Report: Calls and arrests are up. Some overtime, but not excessive. Interviewing for additional part-time employees. Update on National Night Out and the Cops & Bobbers events. Using a new company for the Policy & Procedures update. New police vehicle delivery is expected within the next one to two months. Other Matters: Next meeting will be scheduled when next needed. Motion by Warren and seconded by O’Neill to adjourn at 5:06 p.m. Motion carried 2/0.
