1 MONDAY, AUGUST 6, 2025 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Jul Checks # 18088 – 18091 & Aug Checks # 18092 – 18116 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm, by Chairman Scott Darnell, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Scott Darnell, Supervisor George Schumer, Supervisor & Acting Clerk Ginny Hodal, & Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Also present were 52 residents, and 3 non-residents ( Leo Schultz’s wife). ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Schumer to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS: *Want audit. Transparency and let evidence speak for itself. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Schumer to approve the July 7, 2025 Regular Town Board Meeting, July 21, 2025 Special Town Board Meeting, July 23, 2025 Special Town Board Meeting & July 26, 2025 Special Town Board Meeting, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: None CHAIRMAN REPORT: Working with an audit company from Lacrosse for audit. October meeting changed to Tuesday Oct 14, 2025 at 6:30pm due to WTA conference. No new information on Highway 21 road construction. The assessor will be doing a 2 year revalue, due to town assessments are below 80% of the state’s market value. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: None CONSTABLE REPORT: Six incidents; dog lost, horse food & water, truck leaked fuel, assisted Necedah FD at Petenwell Rock, Loud music complaint, and a break-in to cabin. MOTION TO APPOINT TOWN OF NECEDAH CLERK: Motion by Hodal to appoint Susan Kosinski as Town of Necedah Clerk, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. MOTION TO APPOINT TOWN OF NECEDAH TREASURER: Motion by Hodal to appoint Cheryl Barnharst as Town of Necedah Treasurer, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. 2 NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE IS THE 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH, SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 AT 6:30PM: Also note October meeting was changed to October 14, 2025 Tuesday at 6:30pm. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Scott Darnell, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, and Brian Schauer Road Worker. MOTION AND ROLL VOTE TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION PER WI STATUE 19.85(1)(C) CONSIDERING APPLICATIONS FOR HIRING FULL TIME EMPLOYEE: Motion by Schumer to go into closed session to review the full time road worker applications, seconded by Hodal, roll call vote: Darnell yes, Schumer yes & Hodal yes, motion carried. Closed session 2:04pm. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION: Motion by Hodal to go back into open session, seconded by Schumer at 3:26pm, with the same above named people by roll call vote Darnell yes, Schumer yes & Hodal yes, motion carried.
