1 MONDAY, APRIL 8, 2019 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Mar Checks # 14868 - 14871 & Apr Checks # 14872– 14906 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:43pm, by Chairman Terry Taft, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Treasurer Richard Baumgart, Road Supervisor Leo Schultz and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. (late). Also present 9 residents and 2 non- residents Gregg Ebert and Jake Star-Times Reporter. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Schumer to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: Nice job of taking care of roads Leo, road crew & board. Please look at west side of town water issue on road tour. Thanks Leo great job of snowplowing. Discussion about school referendum on tax bill. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Schumer to approve the March 11, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Hodal to approve the Treasurer’s March 31, 2019 report as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye- 3. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: Weight limit signs up for couple weeks more, lot of frost boils in roads. Chipping and cutting trees from the heavy snow storm. The new 2019 Chevy truck ready for this week. Road closures people disregarding notice and removing the signs, citations were given. CONSTABLE REPORT: The constable dealt with 8 incidents, and property checks. RECONSIDER MOTION FOR FIREWORKS PERMIT: Motion by Schumer to rescind the March 11, 2019 motion approving the fireworks use permit, so no firework permit, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. SET DATE FOR ROAD BID OPENING: Monday May 13, 2019 at 6:30 pm 2 HIRING OF PART-TIME ROAD WORKER: Motion by Hodal to advertise to hire for paart time road worker at $16.50 an hour, no benefits, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. SWEARING-IN OF 2019-2021 TOWN BOARD: The elected 2019-2021 board members: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors George Schumer 7 Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Treasurer Richard Baumgart & Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE, 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH, MAY 13, 2019 at 6:30pm: ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Schumer to adjourn at 6:44 pm, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. Attest: ____________________________________, Clerk Attest: ____________________________________, Chairman 3 MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2019 AT 1:00 P.M., TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, SPECIAL BOARD MEETING-ROAD TOUR CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: Meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m., by Chairman Terry Taft, those present were: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors Ginny Hodal & George Schumer, Clerk Susan Kosinski, and Road Supervisor Leo Schultz. Richard Baumgart attended the meeting at office at 4:15 pm. This meeting was for the cancelled meeting on April 11, 2019 due to snowstorm DISCUSSION & LOOKING AT THE SELECTED TOWN ROADS: Looking at roads from 1:00 to 4:15 P.M. from Leo’s list, 16th Ave, 12th Ave, 25th St W, 9th Ave short, 18th Ave & Cty Rd G intersection, 27th & Cty Rd G intersection, & 22nd St W. DISCUSSION/MOTION TO SELECT THE TOWN ROADS FOR THE 2019 SEALCOATING PROJECTS: Motion by Hodal to do all roads all Leo’s list except 12th Ave North and have that as an option if money available, for the 2019 road projects, the estimated amount is $126,360.00. The motion was seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. DISCUSSION/MOTION OF PURCHASING NEW TRUCK TO REPLACE PETERBILT 7 TO TRADE-IN OR SELLL ON SURPLUS: Motion by Schumer to buy the 2020 Western Star fully equipment and warranty, with the trade-in of the 2009 Peterbiltz at estimated cost of $125,255. The motion was seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. Take $50,000.00 from the sealcoat budget for new 2020 Western Star. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Schumer to adjourn, seconded by Hodal and carried aye- 3.
