LAU, JILL
From: Kelley Forrest <kforrest411@gmail.com>
Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2025 6:30 PM
To: County Board
Subject: December 16 Board Meeting
To the Board of Supervisors,
I am writing to express my concern regarding my experience at today’s board meeting, which was my first time
attending.
During the meeting, a gentleman addressed the Board during the public comment period. His remarks were met with a
lack of acknowledgment. Members of the Board appeared to ignore him entirely, offering no response, recognition, or
indication that his comments were heard. Witnessing this was disheartening, and it has weighed heavily on my heart
since the meeting concluded.
Public meetings should reflect respect, attentiveness, and accountability. When a speaker is ignored, it sends a troubling
message to the community and discourages civic participation.
I hope the Board will reflect on this interaction and take steps to ensure that all individuals who speak at future
meetings are acknowledged and treated with basic courtesy and respect.
This can be included to be public information.
Sincerely,
Kelley Forrest
