1 MONDAY, AUGUST 12, 2019 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Jul Checks # 15043 - 15050 & Aug Checks # 15051- 15085 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:31pm, by Chairman Terry Taft, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Treasurer Richard Baumgart, Road Supervisor Leo Schultz, and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Also present 3 residents and 1 non-resident. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Hodal to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: The mowing looks great. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Schumer to approve the July 8, 2019 Regular Town Board Meeting, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Hodal to approve the Treasurer’s July 31, 2019 report as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: The ditches were cleaned out, trees cut back and road paved by 27th St & G, 18th & G, Shrine Rd culvert, 22nd St, & 25th St. On 20th St fixed road due to muskrats. Gravel was put over the breaker rock on 11th Ave and water still on north end of 11th Ave. Winter project cut back trees from right away. Things are going good. CONSTABLE REPORT: The constable dealt with 8 incidents, including trucks tearing up roads, excessive grass clippings, ATV’s no lights, and property checks. SNOWPLOWING FOR 2019-2020 SEASON: We may not get new truck till January so we can use the Peterbilt till then for snowplowing. We have 3 trucks and 3 drivers, so set for 2019-2020 snow season. APPROVE RESOLUTION 2019-2 “SUPPORT CAMP DOUGLAS RESCUE INC. DOWNGRADE AND FLEX STAFF”: Motion by Hodal to approve resolution 2019-2 “Support Camp Douglas Rescue Inc. Downgrade and Flex Staff”, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. 2 CHANGE OCTOBER 2019 TOWN BOARD MONTHLY MEETING DATE: Motion by Schumer to approve Oct meeting date change due to WTA conference to Thursday October 10, 2019 at 6:30 pm, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. NEED TIME FRAME FOR THE PROMISSORY NOTE FOR NEW WESTERN STAR TRUCK: Motion by Hodal to get a promissory note for $130,000.00 with a one year payoff from Bank of Mauston for the 2020 Western Star Truck, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE, 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH, SEPTEMBER 9, 2019 AT 6:30 PM: OPEN BOOK ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 14, 2019 FROM 2:00PM – 4:00PM AND BOARD OF REVIEW ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28, 2019 3:00PM – 5:00PM: ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Schumer to adjourn at 7:05 pm, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3.
