1 MONDAY, JANUARY 11, 2021 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Dec Checks # 15772– 15805 & Jan Checks # 15806 – 15849 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm, by Chairman Terry Taft, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal took minutes till 6:45, Clerk Susan Kosinski late 6:45, Treasurer Richard Baumgart, Leo Schultz Road Supervisor, and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Also present were 6 residents (including Denis Nowicki), and 1 non-residents Pat Loveless. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Schumer to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: No comments. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Schumer to approve the December 14, 2020 Regular Town Board Meeting, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Schumer to approve the Treasurer’s December 31, 2020 report as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye- 3. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: Two snow removals, two shop projects updating bathroom at garage, ditching project, with Bollig & cutting back trees. CONSTABLE REPORT: The constable dealt with 3 incidents: dog, UTV warnings & incident by bus barn and property check. TOWN OF NECEDAH AGREEMENT WITH THE JUNEAU COUNTY DRAINAGE BOARD FOR MAINTENANCE WORK ON DITCHES: This is the Little Yellow Drainage Ditch and the Town of Necedah will use their equipment and employees to for maintenance on this ditch and bill Drainage Board. Lawyer & Insurance agent okay this. Motion by Schumer to make agreement for this effective immediately, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. TOWN OF NECEDAH AGREEMENT WITH DENIS NOWICKI ON THE REFUGE PROJECT: Motion by Schumer to approve the 2020-2021 Agreement between Town of Necedah & Denis Nowicki for the work done in Refuge, the dirt by trees still needs to be leveled, as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. 2 APPROVE $500.00 TO JUNEAU COUNTY HIGHWAY FOR 50-50 PETITION: Motion by Hodal to approve $500.00 to Juneau County Highway for 50/50 petition, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. MOTION & ROLL VOTE TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION PER WL STATUE 19.85(1)(C) CONSIDER EMPLOYEES COMPENSATION/WAGES/BENEFITS/EVALUATION: Motion by Schumer to go into closed session at 6:55pm, seconded by Hodal and roll call vote Taft yes, Schumer yes and Hodal yes, aye-3. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION: Reconvene into open session at 6:45pm with same board members named above. MOTION, IF NECESSARY FROM THE MATTER DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION: Motion by Schumer to give Leo Schultz a .75₵ increase for Road Supervisor to $23.00 an hour, and full time employee Pat Loveless an $1.50 increase to $20.00 an hour benefits remain the same, and part time wage will remain the same at $16.50, effective January 1, 2021, also to get information to join WI State Retirement, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3.
