1 MONDAY, JANUARY 10, 2022 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Dec Checks # 16318– 16326 & Jan Checks # 16327 – 16362 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:36 pm, by Chairman Terry Taft, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Leo Schultz Road Supervisor, and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Absent was Treasurer Richard Baumgart. Also present were 2 residents, and 1 non-resident Pat Loveless. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Schumer to accept agenda with the correction of reconciliation to Sept 2021 –Dec 2021, not Jan 2021, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: The employees doing better than previous ones, inflation up by 6%, I think they deserve a good increase. We need to raise the levy also. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Hodal to approve the December 13, 2021 Regular Town Board Meeting, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Hodal to approve the Treasurer’s December 31, 2021 report as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: Cutting of trees, cleanup of 100 trees down from wind storm, maintenance of equipment, County & Refuge applied for a FLAP grant which would help the 4 townships in refuge with roads. Trapped 51 beavers in refuge. CONSTABLE REPORT: Reported trees down from storm, stalled vehicle, gun fire, and plowing snow across road. MOTION & ROLL VOTE TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION PER WI STATUE19.85(1)(C) CONSIDER EMPLOYEES COMPENSATION/WAGES/BENEFITS/EVALUATION: Motion by Schumer to go into closed session at 7:00pm, seconded by Hodal and roll call vote Taft yes, Schumer yes and Hodal yes, aye-3. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION: Reconvene into open session at 7:46pm with same board members named above. 2 MOTION, IF NECESSARY FROM THE MATTER DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION: Motion by Schumer to increase the sick days for the 2 full time employees from 3 to 5 days, give full and part time employees wage increase of $1.00 an hour, so wages now Leo at $24.00, Pat $21.00, and part-time Gene & Mike $17.50, increase holiday pay to include one floating holiday for full time employees, and bonus of $2,000.00 for each full time employee and a bonus of $250.00 for each part-time employee, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE, 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH, FEBRUARY14, 2022: ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Hodal to adjourn at 7:50 pm, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3.
