1 MONDAY, APRIL 10, 2023 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Mar Checks # 16996 - 16999 Apr Checks # 17000 - 17037 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm, by Chairman Terry Taft, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Terry Taft, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Treasurer Cheri Barnharst, Road Supervisor Leo Schultz and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Also present were 6 residents, including Steve Bezemek-Scott Construction. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Hodal to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: None APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Schumer to approve the March 13, 2023 Regular Town Board Meeting and March 30, 2023 Special Board Meeting, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Hodal to approve the Treasurer’s March 30, 2023 report as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye- 3. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: The 3 plow have been maintained for next year, chipper fixed, cleaned up from Dec storm done, Danish Cemetery cleaned up, weight limit signs off, doing patching, working on culvert & gravel on 20th St and gravel 27th St W. CONSTABLE REPORT: 5 incidents complaint of potholes, dirt bikes and stolen signs. OPENING OF 2023 SINGLE SEAL COATING ROAD BIDS & ACCEPTANCE OF BID: Two bids were received: Fahrner at $290,866.89 & Scott’s Construction at $239,046.56, our budget is $140,000.00 and the $60,000.00 from reserve, so three roads were removed to bring Scotts Construction as the; lowest bidder to $198,061.16 Motion by Hodal to accept the lowest bid of Scott’s Construction but removed 3 roads to get it down to $198,061.16 seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. 2 MOTION TO REALLOCATE $75,000.00 FROM ROAD RESERVE TO SEALCOATING OF ROADS FOR THIS YEAR: Motion by Hodal to take $75,000.00 from road reserve money to be allocated as $60,000.00 for 2023 seal coating and $15,000.00 as 2023 contracted services, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF NECEDAH SIGN BY THE FIRE DEPT SIGN: Tabled Needed to meet DOT requirement, also information on look & style. NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE, 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH, MAY 8, 2023 at 6:30pm TOWN ELECTOR ANNUAL MEETING TUESDAY APRIL 18, 2023 AT 7:00PM ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Hodal to adjourn at 7:20 pm, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3.
