NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF A MEETING OF THE MCCOY PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON August 19th, 2026 5:15 P.M. IN THE McCOY PUBLIC LIBRARY WITHIN THE McCOY PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE MEETING IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Meeting Minutes 1. Call to order: 5:15 pm 2. Board Roll Call: Marsha Einsweiler, Suzy Turpin, Kim Langenfeld, Nichole Hocking, Emmett Reilly, Janelle Jackson Not Present: Cassie Cernek a. Also in attendance: Jen Detra, Library Director 3. Appointments/Library Board: Motion by Emmett to approve Marsha as president. 2nd by Nichole. Motion passed. Motion by Emmett to approve Janelle as vice president. 2nd by Nichole. Motion passed. Motion by Emmett to approve Kim as secretary. 2nd by Suzy. Motion passed. 4. Public Comment: None 5. Secretary’s Report: To be approved at next month’s meeting, September 15th. 6. Review & Sign Invoices: Reviewed and signed invoices. 8. Banning & Appeal Policy Review: Board reviewed the policy. Motion by Emmett to approve the Banning and Appeal Policy with amendments. 2nd by Suzy. Motion passed. 9. Director Report: Board reviewed. Shullsburg library was featured several months ago in the Lafayette County newspaper. The SCLS system is working to improve circulation, and libraries have been working well together. 10. Future Agenda Items: Computer and Internet Policy, Behavior Policies. Budgets and Staff Reviews. 11. Next Meeting Date: Wednesday, September 15th, 2026. 5:15 pm at the Shullsburg McCoy Public Library. 12. Adjournment: Motion by Emmett to adjourn. 2nd by Suzy. Motion passed. Adjournment 5:41 pm.
