Street Department Updates – Turpin updated the Committee that he had been working on getting quotes for Street work from Scott and Iverson. Wedige commented on street work that needs to be done on Clinton and Harrison Streets. He would like to know if the water and sewer mains also need to be replaced at the same time the street work is done. Reilly asked about Water Street sidewalks and commented on some spots that are in need of repair and his opinion is that we should do it now. Turpin said he can patch it, which would be putting a band-aid on it, otherwise the permanent fix would have to wait. Mayor Dan Morrissey suggested moving forward with the sidewalk assessment process for the 100 and 200 block of Water Street to see if we can get it done after July 4th this year. Schumacher stated the first steps will be to get estimates, send letters to the property owners and schedule a public hearing. Wedige commented that the parking area near the Badger Park pickleball court needs to be fixed and there’s a sidewalk on East Church Street that should be extended to a crosswalk that intersects with the Sidney Street sidewalk. Sewer Utility Updates – Kleiber updated the committee regarding weekend duty staffing changes. CMAR Resolution #2026-07 - The Committee also reviewed Resolution 2026-7 regarding the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report related to the WPDES Permit. Electric Utility Updates – Doyle updated the committee that boring work will be done soon but they have ran into a lot of rock. He has been working on the Tie Yard Parking Lot project. He mentioned needing help working with Mediacom due to the fact that he has asked them to remove their wires from several electric poles because the poles need to come down. Mediacom was not responding to his request. Mayor Morrissey suggested sending a certified letter, but will make a phone call to their contact first. Morrissey asked if we have an agreement with Mediacom for the use of the poles. Schumacher noted they will look into it. Water Utility – Trejo updated the Committee that fire hydrant flushing is done. He has been working on pool chlorine levels and expects to start working on repainting fire hydrants soon.
