TC Networks IT Services – Ben Graves from TC Networks gave a brief introduction of him self and about the company and described the services they offer and the agreement the city has with them to provide IT services. They will provide email support and the group discussed possibly moving email hosting from Netux Solutions to Microsoft for better service. Morrissey questioned cybersecurity and the protection that TC Networks offers the city. Graves gave a rough estimate of $250 per device to wrap each device in the best protection possible. There are other options that may be sufficient. Graves described a cybersecurity audit that would allow TC Networks to review the current systems in place to find any potential shortfalls the City may want to fix. No action taken. Electronic Recycling Event – The Committee discussed holding another electronic recycling event and possibly having two per year. The one in the Fall was a great success. Morrissey will check with Truck Country about using the parking lot again. Schumacher will check with COM2 Recycling Solutions to see what dates are available. Sewer Department – Tom Kleiber had an update from Delta 3 Engineering regarding the Water Quality Trading Project that he wishes to complete. He believes it will cost around $25,000 to complete and while we currently have enough credits to maintain our current levels, planning for the future would be beneficial. Motion by Reilly second by Morrissey to move this item to the City Council for further discussion and possible approval. All aye, motion carried. Street Department – Turpin updated the Committee that he would be taking two cottonwood trees down in the waterway South of the Museum building, across Estey Street. New Curb and Gutter & Sidewalk Assessments – The Committee discussed the Tie Yard Lot project and the plans for new curb and gutter along South Mineral Street as well as new sidewalks on part of South Mineral Street. Schumacher confirmed that curb and gutter cannot be assessed to property owners, however the sidewalks could be assessed. Morrissey mentioned new sidewalks on Water Street and requested a letter be sent to property owners. Electric Utility Updates – Doyle updated the committee that he had been working on a boring project and a boring crew would likely be starting work at the beginning of May. Water Utility – Trejo updated the Committee that the West bathroom at the park has been opened for the season; the East bathroom has a leak that he will work on fixing. He will be starting on the swimming pool soon; also commented that he would like to get 10 fire hydrants painted this summer. At 9:37a.m. a motion was made by Reilly second by Wedige to adjourn.
