DRAFT UNTIL APPROVED AT THE 2024 BUDGET HEARING TOWN OF CRESCENT MINUTES OF THE 2023 ANNUAL BUDGET HEARING, SPECIAL TOWN MEETING AND SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 2023 5:00 P.M., CRESCENT TOWN HALL CALL TO ORDER ANNUAL BUDGET HEARING Chairman Robb Jensen called the Annual Budget Hearing to order at 5:00 p.m. Roll Call was taken. Member’s present were Chairman Robb Jensen, Supervisor Michael Pazdernik, Clerk Tracy Hartman and Treasurer Carla Fletcher. Absent: Supervisor Kyla Waksmonski It was determined that the meeting was properly posted and published pursuant to law, and that there was a quorum. READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 8, 2022 Motion by Grady Hartman to waive the reading of the minutes the minutes from December 8, 2022 and seconded by Whidden. Aye 10; Motion carried. Motion by Robb Jensen to approve the minutes as presented from December 8, 2022. Seconded by Michael Pazdernik. Aye – 10; Motion carried. REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF THE PROPOSED 2024 TOWN BUDGET Clerk Hartman reviewed the proposed 2024 budget which includes a levy of $642,309.00 and an increase in shared revenue of $68,000. Hartman reviewed the changes made to expenses which includes a capital improvement budget of $68,000. Motion was made by Grady Hartman to adjourn the Annual Budget Hearing at 5:09 p.m. Seconded by Walker Hartman. 14 aye; motion carried. CALL SPECIAL TOWN MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Jensen called the Special Town Meeting of the Electorate to Order at 5:10 p.m. It was determined that the Special Town Meeting of the Electorate was properly posted and published according to law. READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF December 8, 2022 Motion was made by Walker Hartman to waive the reading of the minutes of December 8, 2022 and approve the minutes as presented. Seconded by Grady Hartman. Aye - 12, Nay - 0. Motion carried. Motion by Robb Jensen to approve the minutes as presented from December 8, 2022. Seconded by Michael Pazdernik. Aye – 14; Motion carried. SET TAX LEVY FOR 2023 TO BE COLLECTED IN 2024 Motion was made by Steve Jensen to approve the town levy at $642,309.00.00 for 2023 collected in 2024. Seconded by Harry Whidden. Vote was taken. Aye 14, Nay 0; motion carried. Motion was made by Grady Hartman to adjourn the Special Town Meeting of the Electorate at 5:12 p.m. Seconded by Walker Hartman. Vote was taken. Aye - 14; Motion carried. Member’s present were Chairman Robb Jensen, Supervisor Michael Pazdernik, Clerk Tracy Hartman and Treasurer Carla Fletcher. Absent: Supervisor Kyla Waksmonski It was determined that the meeting was properly posted and published pursuant to law, and that there was a quorum. Motion was made by Jensen to accept the minutes of the Special Town Board Meeting conducted on December 8, 2022. Seconded by Pazdernik. All aye; motion carried. Motion was made by Jensen to accept the 2024 budget as presented with a tax levy of $642,309.00. Seconded by Pazdernik. All aye; motion carried Motion was made by Pazdernik to adjourn the Special Town Board Meeting at 5:15 p.m. Seconded by Jensen. All aye; motion carried.
