NOTICE TO RESIDENTS TOWN OF CRESCENT MINUTES FOR SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2022 6:00 P.M., ZOOM Board Members Present: Joel Knutson, Chair; Kyla Waksmonski, Supervisor; Mike Pazdernik, Supervisor; Tracy Hartman, Clerk; Carla Fletcher, Treasurer. Call to Order: Chairman Knutson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. via zoom. The meeting has been properly posted and distributed in accordance with the Wisconsin Open Meeting law and the facility is handicap accessible. Approval of Agenda Motion by Pazdernik to approve the agenda as amended. Seconded by Waksmonski. All aye. Motion carried. Hire Americorps Position – Waksmonski reported that the Board interviewed Nock Gorenson for the Americorps position on October 12th. Motion by Knutson to approve Nick Gorenson for the Americorpos Staff Position to start as soon as possible with a term to in August 2023. Seconded by Waksmonski. All aye; motion carried. Waksmonski reported that the start day will be Monday. Waksmonski also reported that there is no longer a match by the town required. Approve North Central Wisconsin Regional Plan Commission (NCWRPC) work agreement – Knutson reported that the NCWRPC agreement is a straightforward agreement and he did not have any concerns with the proposal. Motion by Knutson to accept the work agreement between the Town of Crescent and the North Central Wisconsin Regional Plan Commission. Seconded by Pazdernik. All aye; motion carried. 2023 Budget Workshop – Review of the proposed 2023 budget that will be presented at the budget hearing on November 16 th. Discussion regarding revenues. Knutson would like to see $5000 added to the fire department budget for recruitment and training. Discussion regarding board wages. The proposed budget will be posted to the website.
