FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 13, 2026 Mayor Roelli called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM. Present at roll call were: Kerry Black, Mayor Roelli, John Sonsalla, and Steve Pickett. Absent: None. Also present was Amy Johnson. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Sonsalla, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Under new business, motion by Pickett, seconded by Sonsalla, to go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85(1) (c) Wis. Stats., to interview applicants for the Director of Public Works Position and allow those present to remain in the closed session; Roll Call V ote: All Ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Pickett , seconded by Sonsalla, to reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats., to recommend the hiring of a Director of Public Works employee, if appropriate, to the City Council for approval; adjourn the meeting. Roll Call V ote : All Ayes. Motion carried. After discussion and consideration, motion by Black, seconded by Sonsalla, to recommend to the Council the hiring of Eric Macke for the Director of Public Works Position, with full-time benefits and a starting salary of $95,000 per year.
