FINANCE AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 7, 2026 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Roelli at 10:00 AM. Present at roll call were: Mayor Roelli, Kerry Black, and John Sonsalla. Absent: None. Also present were: Kevin Andrews and Amy Johnson. Motion by Sonsalla, seconded by Black, that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted. Motion carried. Under new business, motion by Black , seconded by Sonsalla, to go into closed session in accordance with Section 19.85(1) (c) Wis. Stats., to interview applicants for the Assistant Water Operator/Public Works Position; review applications received for the Director of Public Works Position and allow those present to remain in the closed session; Roll Call V ote: All Ayes. Motion carried. Pickett arrived at the meeting at 10:15 AM. Motion by Pickett, seconded by Black, to reconvene to regular session in accordance with Section 19.85 (2) Wis. Stats., to recommend the hiring of an Assistant Water Operator/Public Works Position employee, if appropriate, to the City Council for approval; adjourn the meeting. Roll Call V ote: All Ayes. Motion carried. After discussion and consideration, motion by Black, seconded by Sonsalla, to recommend to the Council the hiring of Brian Stahlnecker for the Assistant Water Operator/Public Works Position, with the starting wage of $25.00 an hour until his Water Operator licenses are transferred to the state of Wisconsin, then his wage will increase to $27.00 an hour.
