Johnson Public Library Board of Directors Meeting, June 2026 Meeting Held: June 22, 2026 1. Call to Order: By President Sonja Wiegel at 6:32PM 2. Roll Call: Janet Trout, Matt Walter, Sandra Corona, John Knellwolf, Alex Santacruz Sonja Wiegel, Cindy Corley, , Ashley McCarville, and Carly Winslow. All Present. 3. Motion that meeting and agenda were properly posted a. 1st Winslow, 2nd Walter. Motion Carried. 4. Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting a. 1st Corley, 2nd Knellwolf. Motion Carried. 5. Reports, comments, and suggestions a. None Present 6. Unfinished Business a. Discussion on Johnson Public Library Investments i. Handout provided on our updated investments. b. Report on past Library Events i. Totals for May: 1. 1702 Total Circulations 2. 14 New Patrons 3. 584 Participants in the following a. Storytimes b. Tot Times c. May Day Baskets d. Children’s Book Week e. ADRC Senior Social f. 4-H at the library g. Medicare talks h. ADRC Caregiver chats i. Book Clubs j. Summer Reading Programs ii. Totals for June thus far: 1. 1313 circulations with an approximate value of $16068.46 7. New Business a. Discussion and action concerning the SWLS System Fees for 2027 i. Packets presented with updated numbers and explained by Janet ii. Costs for 2027 will be paid in June of 2027 iii. Cost did go up primarily from the cost of health care coverage iv. 1st Corley, 2nd Winslow to approve our presented prices for our SWLS System Membership/Use fee. Motion Carried. b. Discussion concerning the appointment of new Library Board Member i. Sandra Corona was approved by the city council. WELCOME ii. Thank you Alex for your 2 terms of service. You will be missed. c. Discussion concerning a donation from Wiegel Strong Foundation i. Wiegel Strong donated a 72 inch TV along with cart to move it on. Thank you! d. Discussion and action concerning the safe deposit box access. i. 1st Winslow, 2nd Corley to approve Janet to have access to the safety deposit box and its contents. Motion Carried. e. Discussion and action concerning July Closing Dates i. 1st Winslow, 2nd Corley to approve closure on Friday, July 3rd. Motion Carried. f. Upcoming Library Events i.
