Minutes

The Berlin Public Library Board of Trustees was called to order on October 14, 2025, at 4:30 by President Kay Roethel. In attendance were Trustees Blazel, Draves, Durtschi, Malchetske, and Roethel. Trustee Guertler attended virtually as did City Council Liaison Kristina Boeck. Director Chris Kalupa was also in attendance. Moved by Blazel, seconded by Malchetske to approve the minutes of the September meeting. Passed. Moved by Guertler, seconded by Draves to accept the monthly bills for September. Passed. Moved by Blazel, seconded by Durtschi to accept the Treasurer’s report for September. Passed. Moved by Guertler, seconded by Draves to adopt and send thank you to City Council for extraordinary service provided by the City Maintenance Crew on October 1. Passed. Library Director’s report: complete copy attached to official minutes. Trustee Draves reported on the activities of the Friends of the Library: October book sale, Christmas tree in Park, Read-ins in January and February, additional tv and cart Trunk or Treat, WLA expenses Business for future agenda: CIP from City, WCTS painting, carpeting update, door to Kay Swan room/safety and panel design, library signage Moved by Malchetske, seconded by Durtschi to adjourn at 5:19 pm.
