Minutes

The Berlin Public Library Board of Trustees met on September 10, 2025, in the Kay Swan Room. The meeting was called to order by President Kay Roethel at 4:30 pm. In attendance were Trustees Blazel, Draves, Guertler, Rainboth, and Roethel. Trustees Durtschi and Malchetske were excused. Also in attendance was Library Director Chris Kalupa. MOVED BY Rainboth, seconded by Draves to approve the minutes of the August 13 meeting. Passed. Moved by Guertler, seconded by Rainboth to approve the minutes of the August 13 Personnel Committee meeting. Passed. Moved by Guertler, seconded by Blazel to accept the monthly bills for August. Passed. Moved by Rainboth, seconded by Guertler to accept the Treasurer’s report for August. Passed. Library Director’s report: complete copy attached to official minutes Artifacts: received $2040 for 9 pots, $88 for Zuni pot, Anasazi pot at Salmon River Museum Moved by Rainboth, seconded by Draves that the Board of Trustees goes on record in support of the Capital Improvement Plan as presented by Director Kalupa. Passed. Business for future agenda: WTCS painting/carpeting/security protocol/Capital Improvement Plan/signage Draves reported that the Friends of the Library did not meet in August.
