AGENDA FOR A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE JOHNSON PUBLIC LIBRARY OF THE CITY OF DARLINGTON TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, THE 19th DAY OF JANUARY 2026, AT 6:30 PM, AT THE JOHNSON PUBLIC LIBRARY 1. Call to order by presiding officer. 2. Roll call. 3. Motion that the meeting notice and agenda were properly posted 4. Approve the minutes of the previous meeting, rectifying mistakes if any exist. (Copy enclosed) 5. Reports, comments, suggestions, and recommendations of citizens present. 6. Unfinished or deferred business from previous committee meetings. (a) Update on 2026 Budget. (b) Discussion and possible action on 2026 Author talk. (c) Update concerning the Children’s Book Council books. (d) Report on past library events. 7. New business or matters to be taken up by the board. (a) Discussion and possible action concerning applying for a Summer Reading Grant. (b) Report on upcoming events. (c) Discussion concerning the yearly report. (d) Approve payment of the following December 2025 vouchers: Librarian account vouchers #4810 through #4830 in the amount of $5,668.40.
