Argyle 30-Day Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTION OF VILLAGE OF ARGYLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, 2026 - 2036 VILLAGE OF ARGYLE, LAFAYETTE COUNTY, WISCONSIN Please take notice that a public hearing to consider a recommendation for adoption of the Village of Argyle Comprehensive Plan, 2026–2036, will be held on Wednesday, October 14th, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. during the regular meeting of the Argyle Plan Commission. The public hearing will be held in the Village Board meeting room at the Argyle Community Center, 321 East Milwaukee Street, Argyle, WI 53504. The proposed Comprehensive Plan is an update to the Village of Argyle’s comprehensive plan adopted on May 5, 2004. Updates include changes to all required sections of the plan including the future land use map. A series of public open houses and a public survey informed the creation of the Comprehensive Plan 2026-2036. Copies of the DRAFT Argyle Comprehensive Plan, 2026-2036 are available for review at the Village Hall and Public Library, 401 East Milwaukee Street, Argyle, WI 53504. The plan is also available on the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission’s (SWWRPC) website. Interested parties may also contact SWWRPC at 608-348-6005 to receive an emailed copy of the plan. The Argyle Plan Commission invites the public to speak on the proposed Comprehensive Plan at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted prior to, or at the public hearing. Any questions, written comments, or requests for a copy of the proposed update should be directed to Jaclyn Essandoh, GIS Coordinator at the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission at 608-348-6005 or j.essandoh@swwrpc.org. Written comments will be given the same weight as oral testimony and be part of the public record. Written comments need to be received by Noon on August 28, 2026. The Argyle Plan Commission will review the comments received following the public hearing and may take action to recommend adoption of the plan by the Argyle Village Board, with or without changes to the draft.
