4.2.25 Special Meeting Special Assessments

SPECIAL ASSESSMENT PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES VILLAGE OF ARGYLE - APRIL 2, 2025 A Public Hearing on Special Assessments for curb and gutter approvements was held Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, at 6:40PM in the board room of the Argyle Community Building. President Moore called the meeting to order with Fransen absent. Proper posting of the public hearing was acknowledged. Helfvogt made a motion to declare an officially posted meeting, Johnson seconded, motion carried. The board waived the approval of the previous meeting minutes. This year’s project will be installation of curb and gutter on either side of Fairway Avenue from Milwaukee Street north of North Street, as well as radius on East Milwaukee Street, Highland Avenue, North Street, and sixty-eight additional feet of the north side of North Street. This year’s project will affect 11 property owners that will be billed their share of the improvements. They will be given three years to pay for their half of the assessment: 2026, 2027, and 2028. The Village pays for the full cost of the radiuses. The project will begin in July by Maddrell. King made a motion to close the hearing at 6:48PM, Helfvogt seconded, motion carried.
