In compliance with the open meeting law, proper notice of the meeting had been posted in four public places: the Zephyr Depot, Benton State Bank, Benton Post Office, and the Benton Business Incubator Building. Focused on infrastructure improvements, including laterals, pavement, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. Replacing pavement will be necessary. Approximately 16 hydrants will be affected, with 2 new installations and 14 will be repurposed. Replacing curbs and sidewalks is estimated at about $1 million. Existing curb and gutter removal costs are roughly $16,000, with approximately $120,000 needed for new installations on each side. Funding and phasing were discussed. The base project cost is approximately $2.01 million, with sidewalks, curbs, and gutters adding to that total. DOT funding of approximately $95,000 is available, but additional funding will be needed. Completing both projects at the same time could reduce costs. Income covers roughly 45% toward funding. The board discussed possibly delaying portions of the project until 2029 and deciding on final quantities before confirming funding. The meeting was adjourned at 7:37 P.M Motion (Slater, Robbins) to adjourn. Voice-all ayes.
