DARLINGTON TOWN COUNCIL & UTILITY BOARD MINUTES SEPTEMBER 19th, 2024 CALL TO ORDER: President Nicole Parker opened the meeting with the pledge. All council members were present. Joining President Parker was Clerk-Treasurer Michelle Cash. MONEY MATTERS: A motion to adopted Ordinance 3-2024 - 2025 Town of Darlington Budget was made by Jennifer Flaugher, seconded by Vice President Teresa Sutherlin. Motion Approved (5-0) PUBLIC COMMENT: Stuart Savka with Triad Associates, Inc was wanting an update on the approval for the engineering contract with the Wastewater Program. President Parker informed Mr. Savka that the discussion of the two proposals will be done at the October 3, 2024. NEW BUSINESS: Clerk Treasurer Cash presented the council with a change order from Milestone for additional patching for 1LS costing $1,475.00. A motion to approve the change order was made by Marilyn Cohee, seconded by Vice President Teresa Sutherlin. Motion Approved (5-0) President Parker asked the council to review the copies of the two resumes received for the open linesmen position and tabled the discussion until the October 3rd meeting. STAFF & ELECTED OFFICIAL REPORT: None at this time Clerk Cash presented the council with another bid to clean up the abandoned properties in the amount of $850.00. All bids will be considered and decided on at the October 3rd meeting. COUNCIL MEMBERS REPORT Marilyn Cohee — None.
