Approved Minutes Town of Durand Regular Board Meeting February 11th, 2026 at 6pm Call to Order By Chairman Andy Winkler at 6:04pm Roll Call Chairman Andy Winkler, Supervisor I Mark Weiss, Supervisor II John Wayne, Treasurer Audrey Bauer and Clerk Brittany Myers, 5 present Pledge of Allegiance Everyone stood together for the Pledge of Allegiance Approval of January 13th, 2026 Board Meeting Minutes Minutes of the January 13th, 2026 Regular Board Meeting were read. Motion made by Mark Weiss and seconded by John Wayne to approve minutes. All in favor-3, opposed-0, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report The January Treasurer’s report was presented to the Board by Treasurer Audrey Bauer. Balance on hand as of January 30th, 2026, was $413,627.58. Payment of Vouchers Vouchers presented to the Board for payment by Clerk Brittany Myers, totaled $20,802.70. Motion made by John Wayne and seconded by Mark Weiss for Clerk Brittany Myers to pay vouchers. All in favor-3, opposed-0, motion carried. Chairman’s Reports Chairman Andy Winkler talked about the Cedar Corp monthly update, and Steinmeyer Inspections update. Public Comments Mark Weiss spoke regarding the last quarterly fire meetings important updates. They will be starting to have audits on fire books, a small raise on water prices will be shown on invoicing, and they are looking at getting new radio’s but should be reimbursed up to 80%. WTA Unit Meetings They happen every 4 months and Mark Weiss will update the Board with information. Mark Weiss will be attending the next one on 2.12.2026 and will update the board at the March meeting. Website Discussion Clerk Brittany Myers talked regarding the new WIX website that recently went live. Recommended to the board to navigate the website and let Brittany know of any recommendations to the website. Steve Berger/Rural Mutual Rural Mutual Insurance representative Steve Berger gave a summary of coverage and premiums for the Town of Durand. Steve stated he wouldn’t change anything from the year before and the price decreased a small dollar amount. Collection Policy Board talked through other townships ordinances on collecting fire bills and coming up with an ordinance in place. Town Credit Card Board is talking on recommendations of getting a debit or credit card for the Town of Durand, instead of reimbursing. Wisvote 2026 Memorandum Chairman Andy Winkler signed the 2026 Memorandum of understanding relating to Wisvote. John Wayne approved the Wisvote 2026 Memorandum and Mark Weiss seconded, all in favor-3, opposed – 0, motion carried. Checkbook Audit The town board performed the 2025 checkbook audit. Future Agenda Items and Meeting Date The next regular monthly board meeting will take place on Tuesday March 10th, 2026 at 6pm.
