1 FINANCE COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS August 25 , 2026 The Amery Finance Committee met on August 25 , 2026 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 4:02 p .m . Present: Members Fran Duncanson , Adam Honl and Roger Van Someren . Other ’s Present: City Administrator Alex Mansfield, Clerk-Treasurer Taylor Larson , Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Gunderson, Mayor Rick Van Blaricom , Alderperson Jason Bottolfson, Alderperson Sharon Marks, Jim Leadholm – Amery Cemetery Association, Wendy Bachman – Amery Cemetery Association, Josh Ganje – Amery Cemetery Association, Karen Christopherson – Amery Cemetery Association, Paul Shafer – AEDC, April Ziemer - AEDC , and Holly Carlson Motion by Duncanson ; seconded by Honl to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 3 Nay e s – 0 Motion carried. 1. Presentation of requests from outside organizations requesting funds from the 2027 operating budget – a. Jim Leadholm presented the 2027 budget request and a history for the Amery Cemetery Association. They are requesting $31,000. They will have their financials ready to share after Labor Day. Committee members asked questions. b. Paul Shafer presented the 2027 budget request and a history of the AEDC. They are requesting $15,000. AEDC ’s financials were presented and explained. Committee members asked questions. c. Jen Tyman with Amery Area Community Center was not available to be at the meeting. Administrator Mansfield presented that the organization is requesting $27,000 for 2027. Alderperson Marks is the City ’s liaison to the community center and answered some questions. Committee members discussed. 2. Presentation of preliminary 2027 operating budget – Administrator Mansfield presented the draft operating budget for 2027. He reviewed each department and explained where he currently sees the budget. Committee members discussed and asked questions. 3. 2026 Financial Review and Budget Update – Clerk-Treasurer Larson presented the City ’s July financials to the committee.
