Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.84, Notice is hereby given to the public that a special organizational meeting of the Common Council of the City of Amery will be held on: April 21, 2026 at Amery City Hall - 104 Maple St. W, Amery, WI at 5:00 PM. Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call Adoption of Agenda *Although the public may speak on any item that is not included on this agenda as a “Public Hearing or Forum” the Council will not respond or discuss the issue brought forward at this time. In accordance with open meeting laws the Council must notice an item on the agenda to take action on that matter. Your comments will be considered and may be placed on a future agenda for further discussion. Any person wishing to submit a public comment digitally may email them to Cityhall@amerywi.gov until noon of the day of the meeting. Although your comments will be presented to the Council they may or may not be read aloud or discussed during the meeting. The Public Comment Portion will be limited to 3 minutes total per speaker with the total duration to be at the Chair’s discretion. The council may act on any item that is noticed on the agenda. RESOLUTION NO. 6-2026 DESIGNATING PUBLIC DEPOSITORIES FOR PUBLIC MONIES HELD BY THE CITY OF AMERY , WISCONSIN WHEREAS, the City Treasurer, as custodian of public monies of the City of Amery, regularly deposits said monies in the following depositories; and WHEREAS, §34.05, Wis. Stat., provides that the governing body shall, by resolution, designate public depositories, organized and doing business under Wisconsin or United States laws and located in Wisconsin, in which the Treasurer shall deposit said monies; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Code of the City of Amery provides that the City Treasurer shall also invest funds not immediately needed pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes; and WHEREAS, it is the express intention of the City to maximize its investments and interest obtained therefrom by allowing each eligible local financial institution to compete for such investments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Amery that the following financial institutions are hereby designated as public depositories for the City: Old National Bank Pillar Bank WESTconsin Credit Union Dated this 21st day of April 2026. ________________________________ Rick Van Blaricom, Mayor ATTEST: ____________________________________ Taylor Larson, City Clerk-Treasurer RESOLUTION NO. 7-2026 RESOLUTIO DESIGNATING OFFICIAL CITY NEWSPAPER CITY OF AMERY , WISCONSIN WHEREAS, the City of Amery is required to designate an official newspaper in accord with Wis. Stats. Ch. 985; and WHEREAS, the City of Amery has an eligible newspaper, the Amery Free Press, located in it; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Amery that the Amery Free Press is hereby designated as official newspaper for all publications and official business for the City.
