February 2023 Meeting Minutes

Clear Lake Civic and Commerce aka Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Date February 6, 2023, at Three3Sisters. The meeting was called to order by President Ture Duden with 17 people present. (Ture, Lisa Duden, Tonya Roth, Cindy  Soderberg, Amy Strobach, Leona Voss, Wendy Schoggins, Dan Johnson, Ray Cress, Joyce & Dave Jurisch, Jack Eastman, Lisa Lien, Greg &  Joe Toombs, Jim & Bobbi Bade. Secretary’s Report: Secretary’s report was reviewed. A motion to accept report by Lisa/Dan-motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: The report for January 2023 was reviewed. A motion to accept the report by Dan/Lisa D. motion carried. Old Business: Sponsorship Update: $8,450 in so far. Budgets for 2023 were reviewed. A motion was made by Lisa D/Dan to approve 2023 budgets. Motion  carried. Truck Pull Update: Looking at final date options. Summer Music at Bandstand: Wendy gave an update. The village is willing to make repairs to the  bandstand. There is a planning committee for events this summer, they are meeting Feb. 16 th at 6p. e. Earth Day Event: we will work with the school planning and sharing projects that could be done around  town. Demo Derby Update: Ture is working with other promoters on a point system to encourage more  participation in derby’s. New Business: Brat Stand Dates: August 10 th &11 th . Elections for officers were held by paper ballot. The seven board members voted in at the annual  meeting are Wendy Schoggins, Tanya Jo Roth, Amy Strobach, Ture Duden all elected for two year  terms, and Cindy Soderberg, Lisa Lien & Dan Johnson were elected for a one year term. Election results: President Wendy Schoggins, Vice President Ture Duden, Secretary Tanya Jo Roth,  Treasurer Amy Strobach, Directors at Large are Dan Johnson, Lisa Lien & Cindy Soderberg. Lisa Lien was  appointed Financial Secretary. Other: No other business or public comments or questions. Motion made by Cindy/Lisa to adjourn; motion carried.
