October 2021 Minutes

Clear Lake Civic and Commerce aka Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Date October 4, 2021 Members Present: Amy Strobach, Tanya Jo Roth, Cindy Soderberg, Lisa Duden, Ray Cress, Rodney Fall The meeting was called to order by Tanya Jo. Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the September meeting were reviewed. Amy made a motion to accept the Secretary’s Report seconded by Lisa, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: The report was reviewed. Lisa made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Rodney, motion carried. Old Business: October 9th Derby: Lions Club and Immanuel Lutheran Church will provide food. Help is lined up. Gate and beer sales will go to the Community Club. Using 3D Summit Siding for garbage, Weyer for porta potties. Stage: Need to get pricing on barring’s. Floor needs to be resealed. The tongue is bent, and clips are missing. Need a new idea for the stairs, something lightweight. Tonja will get an estimate for the repairs by next meeting. Elf Escape: Dec. 1st-17th. Three $25 cash prizes. Overby’s will send out letters. Santa Day will be Sat. Dec 11th from 2p-6p at the ambulance garage. Smores bags will be handed out to take home, hayride, Santa pictures. Lions will give out their yearly calendar, Light up the Village: Judging from Dec. 13th-17th. Sign up by Dec. 10th. Winner announced on Dec. 18th. Fireworks: Still waiting on changes to the contract. Amy will take care of this and sign the contract. Gazebo will be decorated for Holiday pictures for the community. Clear Lake All School Reunion: The reunion will include all classes, not just the classes from the old  school. They are asking for a speaker from each class to join the committee for input. New Business: Clear Lake Days: It was agreed to have the Horse pull people come back next year. Cindy made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Lisa.
