March 2021 Minutes

Clear Lake Civic and Commerce aka Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Date: March 1, 2021 Member present: Lisa and Ture Duden, Rodney Fall, Stephanie Binstock, Amy Strobach, Tanya-Jo Roth. Meeting was called to order by Stephanie Binstock. Secretary’s Report: February 1 minutes were reviewed. Amy made a motion to accept the Secretary’s Report, seconded by Lisa. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: Report was reviewed. Lisa made a motion to accept the report and seconded by Rodney. Business Council Report: It was discussed that they will no longer be part of the CL Civic and Commerce. A check for $699.00 will be given back to the Business Council from bank account and they will be liquify them from us. Lisa made a motion to give back $699.00 to the Business Council provided they are their own entity. Seconded by Amy. Old Business: By-Laws: Everyone reviewed them and there were no changes that needed to be made. Lisa made a motion to accept and incorporate the by-laws. Seconded by Rodney. Sponsorships will be going out this week, March 1-5. New Business: Demo: Nextgen will cover the trophies providing that they could do more advertising. It will be held May 15, 2021 Lawn Mowers will be at 1 pm CL Days: The sanitation company changed owners and is now Weyer Sanitation, LLC. Thursday evening- Covenant Church and bed races Friday- City wide garage sales Dairy Tent Saw dust pile Band/DJ and Beer tent Rides Peddle Pull Petting zoo Saturday- Queens tea Parade Horse Pull Coronation at 6pm Band Beer sales Sunday- Car show Kick-off to Summer: will start to coordinate the activities and dates were given to the village and the police department. Farmer’s Market: Al was talked to about using the old Circle C parking lot. Website/Facebook pages: There are multiple sites. Facebook will only have one with our name, Clear Lake Civic and Commerce. Brat stands: Dates- July 15 and 16 August 19 and 20 Help will be needed on these days Rodney made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 pm. Seconded by Amy.
