Community Club November 2018 Meeting

Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Minutes November 5, 2018 Meeting was called to order by Alison Blanchard-Avery at 7:03 pm Secretary’s Report: September minutes were read, motion to approve 1 st by Cricket Lafond and 2 nd by Amy Strobach. Treasure’s Report: Not available Old Business: Oktoberfest feedback/discussion, we had good reviews, adding the wine was a great idea and hit, and had a great turn out for the 50/50 and meat raffle. New business: Santa Day – Amy will get Santa and cards for the pictures, Tanya-Jo will get sleigh rides set up and order candy canes and apple cider and treats, possibly Derry Monson or Stalheim’s for the sleigh rides. Coloring contest drawing will be at 1:30 pm, will need extra coloring sheets, crayons, and True Value will donate the prizes. Holiday Stroll – December 1, 2018 from 9am to noon, the Ad went out to the local and surrounding papers. Fireworks – Tanya-Jo will order the food/beer, get firewood and heat, Joyce will bring the cheese machine and cheese from AFP, Alison will get permits. 2019 plans : Budget discussions – 2 different donation/sponsor options, the business council will be heading up the donation letters again. More businesses want to donate. Members – We need to get more people to come to the meetings. Chairs/Co-chairs – Last years chairs and co-chairs will have the option to give back or keep their event folders for the 2019 event year. Board openings – Possible treasurer position will be open. Other – We will be adopting by laws and adding to it and discussing the terms of office for the officers. On November 29, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the Kripple Kreek there will be a business council meeting. There may not be a peddle puller for CL Days and looking at other options for a puller.
